Architectural grates and drains manufacturer Stormtech is offering a 50 percent scholarship for a young Australian architect to participate in the two-week residential 2012 Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Master Class this July.
The sponsorship, valued at $3,300, will be offered to an architect under 30. The winning applicant will participate in the two-week Master Class, taking place at ‘Riversdale’, the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre on the Shoalhaven River south of Sydney, and at the Carriageworks Centre for Contemporary Arts and Culture in Sydney from 8-22 July 2012.
Stormtech is a family-owned business, founded in 1989 by John Creighton. Stormtech’s designs have been specified in a number of Glenn Murcutt’s projects, including ‘Riversdale’, the Boyd Education Centre. Last year, the company supported the participation of Victorian Indigenous Registered Architect Jefa Greenaway in the 2011 Murcutt Master Class.
Interested applicants for the 2012 Stormtech scholarship should contact Lindsay Johnston on firstname.lastname@example.org before 29 February.
