The organisers of the World Architecture Festival have revealed the shortlist for the 2011 awards program.

The awards, now in their fourth year, are open to entries from around the world and recognise built and conceptual architecture across 34 categories. The shortlist for the awards has been selected from 704 entries, received from firms in 59 different countries.

Over 25 Australian projects have been shortlisted for the awards. Australian firms are particularly well represented in the residential categories, with six entries in the House category and a further four in the Housing (inc mixed use) category.

Four Australian hospitality projects were shortlisted in the Holiday category, and three educational buildings were successful in the Learning category.
