Architecture practices offer plans and services to bushfire victims

The Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority has published the plans of 19 architect-designed homes, each complying with the new bushfire building codes and sustainable principles.
Many of Australia’s leading practices have submitted house blueprints and will also donate one free consultation session to any displaced Victorian interested.
Designs range from fully serviced living pods, to two and four bedroom houses in a variety of material and construction types and architectural approaches.
A joint initiative of the Australian Institute of Architects (Victoria) and the Office of the Victorian Government Architect, the blueprints will help to rebuild the 2000 homes lost in the February bushfires. .
