A 100m² mural depicting Michael Jackson, made entirely of bricks, has been unveiled in Sydney.

A tribute to Michael Jackson made entirely of bricks has been unveiled in Horsley Park, Sydney.

The 100m² brick mural was constructed over a five day period, opening a day after the premier of the film, _This Is It_.

Australian company Austral Bricks came up with the idea to build a Brick Art tribute to Jackson, and worked with J&M Langdon bricklayers to construct the wall.

Austral Bricks’ marketing manager, Brett Ward, explained that the company is planning to change the mural over the coming months, “to become a continually changing work of art for motorists on the M7”.

The Brick Art uses two makes of brick – Burlesque and Dynasty – which come in bright colours including green, yellow, white, red, blue and black, with the aim of showing the ‘versatility and contemporary nature of what can be achieved with bricks’. Ward said the company hoped to, “inspire architects and designers to create stylish, contemporary feature panels in buildings”.
