Design is successful, no debate about it!

Last night’s debate at Corporate Culture was a resounding success with a packed house and animated speakers –the images say it all.

A capacity crowd enjoyed the hospitality of Corporate Culture, co-host Futurespace and the entertainment of six speakers in the debate ‘Is there any value in what designers do?’

Organised by Angela Ferguson from Ferguson Design and moderated by Esther Anatolitis , the debate was an unequivocal success with the affirmative team judged to be the outright winner by the enthusiastic audience.

The speakers for the affirmative were Marita Foley, a barrister specialising in environmental law, Gavin Harris, Associate and Design Leader of Futurespace and Steve Coster, MD of DEGW and proposing the negative argument were Rob Backhouse, MD of HASSELL, Gus Hazel, an intellectual lawyer with Baldwins, New Zealand and Suzie Attiwill, Associate Professor of Interior Design at RMIT.

The expertise of the teams was undeniable and their arguments were punchy and humorous. A most enjoyable event that is sure to be on the Corporate Culture calendar again in the not too distant future.
