Sydney practice mcgregor+partners has become the first non-European studio to be awarded Topos magazine’s biennial Landscape Architecture Award.

The international architecture and design journal Topos has awarded Sydney-based mcgregor+partners their biennial Landscape Architecture Award.

Recognising the studio rather than an individual project, the award highlights mcgregor+partners’ design and environment work and its potential for further contributions to the international landscape architecture scene. The jury chose the Australian practice as a, “proponent of a new wave of environmentally focused landscape architecture framed within a modernist design approach”.

mcgregors+partners are the first non-European studio to have received the Award with previous winners including: Stig L Andersson, Denmark, Karres en Brands, from the Netherlands and GROSS MAX from Scotland.
