The Edge 2015 applications now open

September 29, 2014

The Edge competition presents an exciting opportunity for a select group of emerging local lighting and furniture designers to showcase their latest works.

Unearthing fresh furniture and lighting design talent for the past 12 years, The Edge 2015 design competition runs as part of this year’s Decor + Design trade show in Sydney.

The Edge presents an opportunity for a select group of emerging lighting and furniture designers to showcase their latest works, providing a valuable platform for exposure at Decor + Design, a well-populated annual industry event.

To date, The Edge has helped launch more than 500 careers within the Australian design industry, exhibiting upwards of 900 products in their mission to champion talented, up and coming local designers. Those whose careers have benefitted from The Edge include Keith Melbourne, Tomak Archer, Ash Allen, Stephanie Ng and the engaging subject of a recent Australian Design Review interview, Duncan Meerding.

The competition is free to enter, and accepts designs in various stages, from conceptual proposals through to those ready for commercial production. (inside) Interior Design Review in partnership with Beacon Lighting, is proud to sponsor The Edge prize pool. Highly coveted awards are on offer for successful applicants, including prize money, media exposure and networking prospects. Winners will also have the opportunity for exclusive access to manufacturers and further training programs.

    Hi there!
I have recently submitted (about 5 days ago) my submission as per the requirement for the edge competition, via dropbox. Just wondering if because I never received a reply or a confirmation of my entry does this mean that it was not received?

    kindest regards,
    Siobhan Dorahy

Hi Siobhan, you will have to contact The Edge competition directly, ADR is not directly involved in the organisation of the event. Good luck!
