The new look of Decor + Design

April 4, 2014

This year’s show will present a select range of the latest high-end designs in interiors and soft furnishings and also feature an International Industry Seminar Series with local and international experts.

The tenth anniversary of the successful Decoration + Design show not only marks its success and value within the Australian design industry, but is also an opportunity to rebrand the show as ‘Decor + Design’. The rebranding reflects a more sophisticated design aesthetic and an ever-increasing industry appeal of the event.

The event is co-located with Furnitex, which is Australia’s largest furniture and furnishings trade fair. With thousands of local and international visitors each year, the two co-located events combine to form Australia’s leading hub for the design industry.

The new Decor + Design show will present a select range of the latest high-end designs in interiors and soft furnishings. It will also feature an International Industry Seminar Series with an impressive line up of local and international experts.

According to Joel Cooper, Group Exhibition Director of Informa Exhibitions, “Our industry is all about the latest trends and new products, and we are all constantly reinventing ourselves to ensure that we are current and relevant to our audiences. Decor + Design has been renamed to acknowledge the shows wide appeal to a market that includes interior design, architecture, trend experts and stylists, with diverse exhibitors across the furniture, furnishings and design world.”

The event will also feature VIVID – Vibrant Visions in Design, a leading design competition for aspiring designers to step into the furniture industry. The shortlisted designers will get an opportunity to present their work in four main categories – Commercial, Concept, Student and Green.

Decor + Design 2014 will take place at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 10-13 July 2014.
