Designers Griffen Lim and Maggie McFadyen have been announced as winners of Corporate Culture’s 2012 Design Journey competition with their design ‘Spin It’.

This year’s competition brief was to design a suspended LED lighting pendant that can be used in both residential and commercial environments. Competition requirements stated that the pendant must be glare-free and must use internal reflectors or similar devices.

As part of their prize, Lim and McFadyen will travel to Copenhagen to meet with Rolf Hay (founder of Hay) and Christian Rasmussen (head of design at Fritz Hansen). Their winning design will be prototyped and exhibited in Corporate Culture showrooms around Australia, with a view to being the next design to be supported, manufactured and marketed under license by Corporate Culture Australia.

The three runners-up were: Seaton Mckeon, Joshua Abel and Adam Cornish.

All submitted entries will be exhibited at the Design Journey event one of the Corporate Culture showrooms, and one design will be awarded the People’s Choice Award.
