Participate in Design:Made:Trade 2011

January 28, 2011

Major design exhibition Design:Made:Trade will open Victoria’s State of Design Festival this July.

Premier design exhibition Design:Made:Trade will again mark the opening of Victoria’s State of Design Festival in 2011, with a four-day event located at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building.

Taking place from Thursday 21 – Sunday 24 July 2011, Design:Made:Trade will feature a program of workshops, talks, exhibitions and displays with a particular focus on driving strong industry attendance. The growing trade event, now in its fourth year, has proved an important part of Victoria’s design festival, with visitor numbers in 2010 up 40 percent on the previous year.

Applications are now open for furniture, fashion and industrial design brands that wish to participate in this year’s exhibition, which organisers expect will attract more than 5,000 trade visitors in 2011.

Key elements of this year’s trade fair include the Design Embassy, offering attendees and exhibitors a space to network; and Lightsource, a showcase of the latest lighting products held alongside Design:Made:Trade.
