IDEA 2011 Gala Party sells out

November 17, 2011

This year’s IDEA Gala Party, taking place at the Australian Centre of Contemporary Art in Melbourne, will play host to a sell-out crowd.

Tickets to (inside) magazine’s annual awards night, the IDEA Gala Party, have now sold out.

The Gala Party – which is the culmination of the annual Interior Design Excellence Awards program – this year returns to Melbourne, following two successful years at The Ivy in Sydney.

The awards night takes place at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) in Melbourne’s Southbank on Friday 25 November. All winners of this year’s awards will be revealed on the night, with over 200 shortlisted projects vying for one of the prestigious awards.

The Interior Design Excellence Awards, first held in 2003, are presented annually in recognition of the best in Australian design from across the country, showcasing the most innovative and inspiring projects to be produced by the Australian design profession.

The awards attracted a record-breaking number of entries in 2011, with more than 400 projects submitted earlier in the year – with judges once again impressed at the quantity, diversity and ambition of many of the entries. Shortlisted entries have been assessed by a jury panel that included Sue Carr, Jeff Copolov, Sam Spurr, Toby Horrocks, Hannah Tribe, Sioux Clark and (inside) editor Domingo Antonio Robledo.

A series of free events are taking place at venues across Melbourne from 22-30 November as part of IDEA week. Fond out more at
