Sustainability award for Instyle

Australian textile brand, Instyle, awarded World Environment Day award for commitment to sustainability.

Australian textile brand Instyle has been awarded a World Environment Day Award, presented by the United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA).

The award was presented to the company for its excellence in overall environmental management at a whole-of-business level and its commitment to driving real environmental change within its industry and supply chain for EthEco wool.

The judges described Instyle as a “clear industry leader that has dedicated significant resources to investigating and ensuring that the production of the textiles it uses is sustainable. ”

“The company has put in place an all-embracing business model that is built around delivering a sustainable product. Instyle has effectively engaged with and built the capacity of its supply chain up and down stream, from farm to manufacturing to the customer. Instyle’s policies, practices and reporting set a high benchmark for other small and medium enterprises.”

The winners of the 2010 World Environment Day Awards were announced on Friday 4th June at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, on the eve of World Environment Day.
