A boutique studio of 30 employees located on the city fringe has seen an increased volume in their work that focuses on the multi-residential, commercial and retail sectors. Consequently, they are looking to appoint a design-focused individual who can primarily work on the feasibility, schematic, town planning stages of projects which typically range between $5M-$60M in value.

As a design architect within this sociable studio environment you will strive to achieve buildable solutions to design and ensure that the clients expectations are exceeded in a functional, aesthetically pleasing and timely manner.

Working side by side the director (who is a strong supporter of the freehand sketch), you will meet with the client to develop a brief, develop the schematic stages of the project fairly autonomously and develop town planning documentation for council. Strong local town planning knowledge is highly advantageous and you must be able to liaise confidently with council representatives and other stakeholders.

This position will suit a design architect who is not achieving enough design freedom or design credit in a larger in size firm or an all-rounder architect who isn’t interested in Revit/AutoCAD construction documentation.

Whilst our client is requesting a talented individual with 6 + years local industry experience, we also welcome applications from those who have a strong multi-residential town planning background and sharp Adobe Suite skills.

Being a mid-size firm, you will need to demonstrate general skills in documentation either in Revit and/ or AutoCAD as at times the firm will have an all-hands-on-deck approach near deadlines.

To express your interest in this position, please forward your resume and portfolio to Stephanie Gleeson of Bloomfield Tremayne & Partners at stephanie@btandp.com.au and quote Reference Number M15351.
