The client is a dynamic and innovative national architecture practice with over 30 years of successfully designing and delivering hospitality, education, retail and residential projects. Their Melbourne team, based in an edgy studio in Richmond, was established years years ago and has grown from strength to strength to a point now where they’ve created a new role for a senior architect.

To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience in all phases of projects and be ready to step into a key leadership role reporting to the director.

You’ll be on the front line dealing with clients, running consultant meetings and ensuring that the team of 10 (and growing) stick to project timelines and hit deadlines through all phases. This is a Revit based office and you’ll be expected to be ‘on the tools’ and pitch in with documentation when required.

You will thrive in a fast-paced studio environment, enjoy taking ownership of projects, running teams across multiple projects at different stages at the same time. You have high expectations of quality of design and technical output, specifically within the commercial and hospitality sectors. A passion for high-end residential would also be advantageous.

This position has the potential for progression to an Associate title within the Melbourne office as you will contribute to sustaining and growing the project base. This role is the perfect fit for someone at a larger practice who may have hit the ceiling and is looking for new challenges.

The successful candidate will be:
• registered architect
• have a minimum of five years’ local experience
• significant experience in feasibility, concept design and documentation
• outstanding design and presentation skills
• experience leading a team
• programming, planning and budgeting of projects
• client liaison and client management
• a collaborative approach to work, management and team engagements
• have strong technical Revit skills
• have strong detailing skills
• have business development skills
• highly organised, especially with time management
• exceptional communicator with clients, staff and management
• approachable, collaborative, friendly
• outstanding personal and professional presentation skills.
