Two well-established architectural companies are currently seeking to expand their leadership team to capitalize on their current busy project pipeline, to expand their design talent, and to contribute to the long-term future of their business.

The appropriate candidates will currently be Senior Health Architect/Planners at Senior Associate Director level or be the Director/Principal of a practice’s health portfolio.

It is important that you are working in a hands-on role in health facility planning. This role requires excellent knowledge of the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines, models of care and modes of operation.

It is ESSENTIAL you are currently working with – or were recently employed by – one of the recognised specialist healthcare development design practices of Sydney.

You will also have a developed contact base in NSW of decision makers in the private and/or public sectors. You must already have developed a well-established and harmonious working relationship with Health Infrastructure NSW.

The roles include the identifying and acquiring of a constant flow of work in the health sector of NSW. A solid reputation for successfully winning projects and repeat business gained through your involvement in effective health project design will be viewed very favourably in selection of candidates.

You will need at least 10 to 15 years experience in Australia in the leadership of medium to large scale, complex acute private/public hospital new-build projects, taking them through the Feasibility Study, Master Planning, Functional Design Briefing and Schematic Design stages at a hands-on level. You would also be experienced in overseeing project leaders manage projects from Design Development to Contract Documentation stage.

You will have a proven track record of team management (internal and external), stakeholder liaison, programme control, etc. This should include high-level hands-on management of Executive Stakeholder groups and Government Executives.

Experience in designing health projects in the range of $20M – $1B range – including PPP’s & PFI’s – is sought. You will be a self-starter, show strong leadership abilities, and be adept at public speaking – required to help maintain and raise the industry profile of the company.

The salary package offered will be commensurate with your experience, skills and current role level. Successful applicants at Senior Associate Director level role could be offered around $150,000 per annum plus/including superannuation, and applicants at Director level could be offered around $180,000 per annum plus/including superannuation.
