This renowned design-focused studio is looking for a ‘traffic controller’ to support a team of 20 design professionals locally and interstate.

The company provides various design services for a major Australian retailer.At any one time, there may be as many as 30 active projects in various stages – and they are currently seeking someone to manage the organisation of these teams.

You will act as a central coordinator of the project load across the professional resources available, using the company’s resource planning software. These plans are kept updated daily to reflect the client’s scope changes and to communicate forward project loads to the project teams each week.

In addition, this person will assist in processing monthly work-in-progress and subsequent invoicing working alongside the team project coordinators.

Applicants must have the following attributes:
* Be highly organised while often under pressure of deadlines
* Be able to manage the organisation of people (displaying a level of authority and respect) in an orderly, proactive way such that there is a fair distribution of work load each week
* Have strong planning and administration skills
* Be computer literate, numerate and able to assist the project coordinators in the timely preparation of monthly invoicing

This role is a contract position for an initial period of 6 months (which may be extended). There is an immediate requirement to fill this position based in Melbourne.
