Architect or Interior Designer

Are you the designer beating the opposition to win the most coveted design projects? National architecture & interior design firm wants you!

An exciting opportunity is available for an Architect or Interior Designer with a well-managed architecture and interior design practice of over 100 staff nationally. They have offices across Australia and are looking to expand their team based in their sleek new Sydney CBD studio near the harbour. The practice is well-established yet young and dynamic, with a profitable long-term future. They work across a range of clients in the private and public sectors, project types and scales.

The challenge and the opportunity here is to win the most coveted clients and design projects in the corporate design sector, and to expand and lead their Sydney team of designers to double the present number.

A very attractive new workspace in a highly desirable location in the CBD is the setting for joining a team with real team spirit. Working in a collaborative environment, they socialise together regularly, and have developed a family feel to the office where people watch each other’s back.

You will have a track record of winning premium design projects, beating off challengers from the best practices in Sydney and Australia. You then deliver the project – beyond the client’s expectations.

A distinguished career in corporate design is highly regarded. You will be adept and experienced in:
• Strategic Facility Planning
• Understanding people, place and process in the workplace
• Organisation auditing
• Change management
• Activity-Based Work style design (preferably), and
• Stakeholder engagement and project briefing

You are likely to be presently at Associate, Associate Director or Director level; however, strong leaders in earlier stages of their careers with the above attributes will be considered too. Preferably you have established an active and influential industry profile through teaching, writing, or giving talks at property development or design events, etc.

The role is paying a generous salary package – highly negotiable to snare the right candidate. Extras such as an iphone and ipad will be provided.
