An expert fitout solutions company is looking for a full time Project Consultant to join their sales and fitout solutions team.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

- Seeking out opportunities in the Victorian market for design, construction and furniture sales
- Understanding the needs of clients and delivering fitout solutions that meet their expectations and budget requirements
- Ensure that the minimum margins expected by the company are correctly calculated in each fitout submission
- Work with design and project managers to sell the final submission and maintain the minimum budgeted sales expectations of the company
- Work with management to deliver innovative fitout solutions that better showcase and position the company in their marketplace
- Maintaining OH&S policies and procedures

Previous knowledge in a similar role is a must, along with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and good math skills (for all the quote calculations you’ll be doing!). If you have previous sales training and are qualified in a building trade of some description, these would also be an advantage.

Our client is looking for a highly focused, self-motivated professional with the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality where appropriate. You must have excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written, a keen eye for details and strong initiative with a proactive and flexible attitude. You should be a great team player yet be able to work autonomously. You will also need the ability to liaise with clients, set appointments and actively manage your time to maximise your skills and exposure. You should be open to client liaisons and entertaining when there are industry events. Other requirements are the ability to project manage the delivery of a clients expectations in line with market competitiveness and the company’s desired margins, to understand the company’s set up, aims and objectives, to work with people across all levels of the organisation as well as external clients, stakeholders and suppliers and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
