A major national design practice in the architecture, urban design and interior design disciplines has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Bid Manager for their NSW studio working on submissions across Australia. They have won all five of the large, complex infrastructure PPP bids they recently submitted bids for, and wish to maintain this high level of success.
Strong technical writing skills and experience – particularly in the health, education and transport sectors – are highly desirable for this role. Each bid submission is written from an original starting point, rather than taking a template and adapting to suit the project. With a strong pipeline of submissions in the near future, you will need to be able to hit the ground running.
Reporting to the Director in charge of marketing, you will be responsible for managing all bids for the NSW office. Importantly, it is a hands-on role for the production component of the bid material, with external assistance at crucial times. It includes coordinating the input of external consultants.
You will have a key role in the marketing of this leading practice, and will be part of the team building and maintaining client relationships. Assisting in the development of the marketing aspect of the internet page and intranet page will also be a key activity.
The role will also provide the opportunity to coordinate marketing and PR activities, perform marketing research, assist with strategic marketing etc.
You will have at least 3 year’s experience as a Bid Manager in an architectural or design practice, and ideally have an architectural qualification and career background in a major firm. You will be an innovative thinker, have strong interpersonal skills and excellent construction industry knowledge.
Candidates with qualifications in marketing or visual communications or related discipline are also sought. You will be experienced in using Adobe CS5 Suite, MS Projects and advance Excel use.
Salary is negotiable and is expected to be around AUD$120,000 per annum package including superannuation, negotiable for a stand-out candidate.
