futurespace is looking for an experienced architect/ Revit draftsperson to work on a variety of exciting projects in the Sydney studio. The role will be both as a supporting resource to senior members, as well as being the principal client contact responsible for running your own smaller projects.

The candidate for the Architect/ Revit Draftsperson position requires a relevant architectural qualification from a recognised institution with at least 3-5 years’ local post graduate experience on residential and commercial projects.  The ideal candidate will also have training and significant experience in the use of Revit architecture 2012 and/or 2013.


  • Strong design skills
  • Strong knowledge of construction, BCA requirements and CAD documentation standards
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Understanding of clients’ needs
  • Ability to accept responsibility, show initiative and respond to challenges
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and clients

The role is varied and interesting and is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative, creative studio undertaking projects across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.  Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Directors and Design Leaders with project delivery on larger projects
  • Leading the project team on smaller architectural and interior design projects
  • Design, documentation and site administration for architectural and interiors projects
  • Representing futurespace at client and consultant project team meetings
  • Completing all the above in line with futurespace’s documentation and office administration standards and procedures
  • Participation in futurespace design workshops, training sessions, marketing forums and other events
