The Chedi Andermatt features luxury bathroom fittings by Philippe Starck

February 12, 2014

The newly opened five-star alpine resort seeks to combine luxury and natural aesthetics in a classic, timeless manner.

A luxurious alpine resort encircled by snow-covered Swiss mountains, The Chedi Andermatt is a newly opened five-star hotel nestled in the small village of Andermatt, Switzerland.

The idyllic mountain setting of The Chedi Andermatt lends itself well to the luxurious interior fitout of the hotel, which was carried out by Singapore-based GHM Group. The architects and designers of GHM Group chose to use materials and products that combine traditional and contemporary aspects harmoniously – accordingly, they opted for shower sets, mixers and thermostats designed by Philippe Starck.

The Axor Starck collection, designed by Starck, reflects the overall design philosophy of The Chedi Andermatt, which seeks to combine luxury and natural aesthetics in a classic, timeless manner.
