Inside magazine’s first issue for 2013 is now on sale. Tipping its hat to the booming hospitality industry, issue #75 takes a look at the integral role that designers play in shaping hospitality spaces and interiors.

Featured projects include Dreamtime Australia Design’s subterranean Sydney restaurant Mr Wong; Melbourne newcomer Meatball and Wine Bar, with interiors by Eades and Bergman; Aurelie Blanchard’s seductively copper-clad interiors at Union Restaurant in Basel, Switzerland; as well as a selection of unforgettable hotel interiors including the Harbour Rocks Hotel in Sydney.

Elsewhere, Rebecca Roke investigates the work of a number of artists and designers creating multi-sensory environments aimed at heightening the experience of eating and drinking; while Genty Marshall takes a closer look at Philippe Starck’s Mama Shelter Marseille and Pool’s Cafe Craft in Paris – two spaces that innovatively use a hospitality setting to foster collaboration and creativity.
