Though the past 10 years have seen a significant increase in the number of females graduating from industrial design courses in Australia, they are still markedly under-represented within the industry. This discrepancy is the subject of Women in Industrial Design, an exhibition running as part of Sydney Design 2014.

The exhibition will take a look at the diverse career paths of women who have succeeded in various fields, all with a background in industrial design. With a range of work representing both established and emerging designers, we are given an insight into professional practice and the path towards career fulfilment in an ever-changing industry.

Featuring projects by UTS students and alumnae, Women in Industrial Design will showcase products in different categories, including soft goods, electronics, home wares and conceptual work.
