Speakers from Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp and Carterwilliamson Architects will present their insights on the applications of timber at a free design seminar held in Sydney

A free seminar on the use of timber in both residential and commercial interiors is being held this month in Sydney.

The timeless appeal and versatility of timber has made it a reliable material choice for designers past and present, with increasingly sustainable initiatives surrounding wood harvesting practices ensuring its place in future built environments.

Presented by Wood Solutions, a diverse range of speakers will discuss the finer points of timber joinery, technical details on American and Australian hardwoods, and give insight into award-winning residential and public building projects.

The event will also provide guests with an update on Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for Australian timber products in Green Star rated interiors.

Cost: Free for design or building professionals. Certificates of attendance available for all participants. Formal CPD (3 points) available for architects.
