Re-casting Terra Nullius Blindness Workshop

This workshop aspires to advance understanding of indigenous Australian's knowledge and cultural systems with regards to planning and design education and practice

Recent events in Australian history have heightened recognition of the rights, interests, needs and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia and internationally. Despite this, little has changed in Australian planning and design education and practice (architecture, planning and landscape architecture) to integrate a better understanding of the need for engagement with indigenous knowledge and cultural systems and relevant protocols, as distinct from cultural competency articulation.

This event is aimed at practitioners, coming together to workshop and provide opportunities for improving relevant curricula and modes of practice in their respective fields.

This event is free, however places are limited so registration is required.

Light refreshments will be provided to all workshop participants.
