Melbourne International Design Week runs from 11 to 17 May 2015 and is classified as a celebration of local and international design excellence. This week is aimed at drawing attention to the best of both local and overseas design in order to nurture a strong design culture.

The week of events will provide opportunities to gain inspiration from the benefits of outstanding design and their potential to impact our lives and  economy. Melbourne International Design Week will highlight the role of design as the spark for innovation, linking creativity with business, technology and society.

The festival provides a platform for support, building collaborations between design disciplines, industry sectors and the local and international community. Included in the series of events is the annual agIdeas International Design Forum, the Australia Interior Design Awards, the National Architecture Conference and the DEN: Furniture and Design Fair.

The Melbourne International Design Week brings over 11,000 visitors to Melbourne, both locally and internationally.
