Producing Alternatives: Art, Architecture, and Design in the Age of Global Powers.

Don’t miss a night of stimulating discussion on contemporary art and architecture when we welcome New York-based architect, educator and curator Eva Franch to deliver our 2017 Lloyd Rees Memorial Lecture.

Franch specializes in the making of alternative architecture histories and futures. She is the Chief Curator and Executive Director of Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York since 2010, and professor at The Cooper Union School of Architecture. During this talk, she will reflect on several projects and global initiatives including World Wide StorefrontLetters to the Mayor and OfficeUS (as part of the XIV Venice Architecture Biennale).
Now in its 9th year, the Lloyd Rees Memorial Lecture was created in honour of the late painter who delivered insights about art to generations of architecture students.
