Above: A snapshot of this year’s Melbourne Equinox.
Presented twice a year by Architectural Information Services Australia, Equinox began as an informal way for architects, designers and specifiers to keep up to date on new developments in building products from leading suppliers.
Now held twice a year in every major Australian capital city and selected regional locations, Equinox offers an opportunity for suppliers to have direct contact with the industry professionals specifying their products, to gain valuable leads and firsthand feedback. Architects, designers and specification teams are able to be efficient in their practice, saving time by foregoing multiple supplier meetings and networking with a select range of product manufacturers over light refreshments.
Unlike larger furniture and trade exhibitions, Equinox presents as a boutique industry event, held in architecturally significant, atmospheric venues to encourage a convivial sharing of ideas within the specification market. Attendee registration and the amount of exhibitors are limited, to ensure the professional standard of Equinox guests.
For the last 13 years, AIS has endeavoured to connect professionals from both the supply and demand sides of the specification market, fostering constructive partnerships and creative outcomes within the building industry.
Attendee registration is still open for this year’s Canberra and Perth Equinox events, with complimentary tickets available for approved specifiers.
Equinox Canberra: 9 October
Equinox Perth: 23 October
