Justin Paul is a new high-end fashion destination for women, located on George Street, Launceston.
The main direction for the small scale interior takes its cue from the international catwalks; a bold catwalk-strip is laid out as a central feature on the floorboards, folding up the length of the rear wall and back along the ceiling.
Beyond this central feature the design for the fashion house, while luxurious, is understated, making for a welcoming and approachable environment. Stark white walls and chic white joinery provide the blank canvas that allows the haute couture to become the changing experience.
Justin Paul occupies a property which has been a city icon for over 50 years. Being the winner for the Best Attention to Streetscape in the non residential category, the boutique retail stores new form presents a strong feature in the streetscape enhancing the visual appeal of this commercial terrace.
Inside, the eye is treated to a feast of light, with the architects successfully blending modern functionality amid traditional architecture features.
Working with Edra from the start, Italian designer Francesco Binfaré has produced some of the brand's classics, including the recent Pack and Chiara sofa.
