Ellivo Architects have recently completed a fit-out for their office in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. The bold fitout is all black, with splashes of uplifting yellow and texture.
The design is inviting to staff and clients and represents the way the studio operates. Utilising the full volume of the space, the services and workings of the building shell are revealed. Likewise, the open-plan office is very much on show – inviting clients and consultants to be a part of the studio environment.
The core of the design concept focuses on lifecycle and economy: materials are not used unnecessarily to hide the bones of the building. Arras workstations from Herman Miller are designed with end-of-life management and use no chemical bonding, while the entire layout can be reconfigured to suit changing needs under the random zigzag of the suspended lighting.
The new workspace provides a great space for meetings, creativity and collaboration and reflects the company culture and ethos of designing success.
