This 2700sqm $3.5m workplace fitout, completed in 2010 for Baulderstone, is designed to reflect the culture of a stable yet innovative organisation renowned for its ability to deliver on complex projects.

The materials and forms were chosen specifically. Concrete is solid, dependable, reliable, while the motif of circles are stable and self centring. Metal panels are easily adapted, good conductors, and can be reinvented. These materials reflect Baulderstone’s secure and dynamic nature.

The design also responds to their staff culture by providing a ‘clubhouse’ so that site staff are able to feel equally at home as office-based staff. It was vital to the success of the project to deliver a space that could be home to all Baulderstone employees.
