Situated high on the southern ridge of a vine-covered valley, Wills Domain offers serene views from its cellar door and restaurant. A successful existing cellar door is the heart of the family owned business. The brief for the new building was to maintain and extend the relaxed and informal ambience of the cellar door to a new restaurant and art gallery.
Borrowing the form of the existing building, the art gallery features a simple gabled roof, with an informal cover over the restaurant. The enclosure is designed to be as open as possible, with fully glazed bi-fold doors on the north and south elevations providing maximum connection between interior and exterior. A tensile roof membrane further breaks down the sense of enclosure, with a delicate translucent skin.
This building was designed by Clayton Lindley during his employment with local winery designer, Castle Rock Design. Naked Architecture and Castle Rock Design bring complimentary skills to winery projects, working jointly to provide a comprehensive design, documentation and contract administration service for winery projects.

Few furniture designs withstand the test of time as well as the HÅG Capisco. Established as a seating icon for over 30 years, the chair is as popular and contemporary today, as the day it was launched.
