This holiday shack is located in the pristine south west of Western Australia, designed for a former member of a 1980s English pop band and now well-known Australian author and his family.
The contemporary open plan, solar passive design is nestled in between two large trees on a five acre plot in the Yallingup Hills bushland area.
Polishes concrete finishes intermix with a refined blend of steel, timber and glass and subtle LED lighting to create a home that is slick and minimalist in style, but also warm and inviting to live in and perfect for entertaining.

I am looking to build a solar passive home in Bowral NSW on an elevated level block with views to the north and north east. The style and interior of this home appeals to me and I would like to see the floor plan if possible and to learn if this home can be supplied as a prefab building to be erected on a poured slab. What was the finished cost of this home?
I would be pleased to have further communication with you on this project.
Thank you for your enquiry.
I recently replied to your contact from submission from the web site and sent through a brief for you to fill out so we can attend to your enquiry in more detail and create a shackmap based on your brief.
The home featured here was completed at the end of 2010 so the cost is not relevant now in todays market and we would need to reprice for your region and in todays market.
Featured above is a 4 Bedroom + 2 Bathroom mishack. with an area of 234m2 (internal area) 130m2(external area under cover) with Large Open Plan Living Area flowing out into a Large Alfresco and also includes a large Multi Purpose Zone.
There is a ‘shackmap’ of this house under ‘Large Shack’ on our current web site so you can view its layout. Here is the web address below.
mishack. has new web site under construction which is currently due to be launched this February.
We look forward to hearing from you soon and helping you to … well … ‘Get Shacked!’
