This project involved alterations and additions to the rear of a narrow existing terrace house in Erskineville.

The work included the complete demolition of all interior spaces and back extension, reconfiguration of living and dining areas, and construction of new kitchen along with three bathrooms, three bedrooms and an outdoor living area. The new fitout is light and simple with elegant clean lines.

The back extension is a zinc-clad box with recycled blackbutt bi-folding doors and timber deck. Inside, frameless glass is used for the balustrade to keep the interior space open while a simple colour palette opens up the narrow width of the block.

The construction took approximately 8 months with a total cost of $475K.
