The new Medicine and Pharmacy building at James Cook University in Townsville offers students and staff superior research and education facilities equipped with the latest technology to propel the advancement of medical science and research.

PDT Architects and RPA Architects’ design provides a focal point for the university’s medical precinct; linking an anatomy and clinical skills wing, pharmacy wing, medical research wing and a lecture theatre. Features include an acoustically designed 300-seat auditorium and state-of-the-art laboratories including PC2 research and anatomy laboratories. The building integrates into the university village master plan and allows for future expansion of further medical facilities, including a link to the Townsville Hospital located opposite the building.
