Interior Design: Red Bull Marquee, 2009 Australian Grand Prix

October 16, 2009

A geometric marquee design inspired by the tesselated exterior of Federation Square.

A suspended ceiling of illuminated corflute prisms was the main feature of the design for the Red Bull Marquee at the 2009 Australian Grand Prix. The design borrows principles from the tessellated tiling of Federation Square, and was developed as an illuminated ceiling or wall installation which could be scaled to an infinite size from a single triangular unit. The glowing white prisms and sharp geometry were aligned with other branded features such as a red logo couch, dj booth, blue bar signage and inset fridges with Red Bull products on display.
