The Prada of Cupcakes” was our design brief for the first of a number of retail outlets. With this challenge we proposed a palette of sumptuous materials in an abstract yet elegantly detailed composition. The project combines large-scale elements that work at the scale of the mall and intimate engagement with product. A subtlety-illuminated textured red portal frames a refined display case which houses equally delicate “sweet jewels”. A feast for they eyes and the mouth.
