Pittwater Beach House

January 24, 2013

Simple construction methods enable this low-budget beach house project to have quality where it is important.

The site for this project consisted of land surrounded by Ku-Ring-Gai National Park on one side and Sydney’s Northern Beaches on the other. The delicacy of the landscape provided a tranquil setting for this holiday house. This site specific design was developed as a series of pavilions that sit lightly on the land.

Simple construction methods enable this low-budget project to have quality where it is important. The Australian identity is expressed through materiality including corrugated sheeting and hardwood.
