Interior Design: King Furniture

September 17, 2010

David Hicks designs a contemporary space with a residential twist for a new King Furniture showroom.

This project is the first of various new showrooms designed for King Furniture around Australia. The planning has been meticulously resolved to allow both flexibility for the retail display of furniture and the workability of the space for staff and customers.

Large, open retail spaces risk appearing cold and, therefore, a contemporary design with a residential twist, slick detailing and a celebration of beautiful materials has been implemented. This space provides a perfect backdrop for the hero product – the furniture.
