Interior Design: 1960s House

May 31, 2010

ITN Architects revive the modern design features of a 1960s house in Caulfield.

This project, completed in 2009, entailed an interior renovation of a low slung, classic 1960s modern home originally designed by Melbourne architect, Tom Jacobi.

The house had been decorated in the 1980s with a rococo fantasy interior, which sat badly with the original architecture. The brief was to strip back the inappropriate decoration, and revive the glamorous, modern aesthetic of the original – while adding the amenities of a contemporary home.
