Interior Design: Bentley Restuarant and Bar

March 16, 2010

Pascale Gomes-McNabb’s latest restaurant design fuses glossy finishes and crisp details to create a chic, elegant interior for this Surry Hills restaurant.

A renovation of the Bentley Restaurant and Bar located in Surry Hills, this chic design lends the restaurant a casual elegance. The dining area has been given a strong new look, representing the restaurant’s evolution and transformation from its early conception, four and a half years ago.

The renovation divides the restaurant into two distinct areas, serving the different requirements of the dining room and the bar. Black wire mesh screen shield the two areas, allowing for visual continuity. The black brushed metal bar and vivid red leather benches provide a more intimate setting in the bar, while the dining area is characterised by clean white walls with glossy black chairs and American oak tables. Mirrors clad in 17th century Dutch landscapes add a richness to the design. Overall, the new interior offers a chic and sophisticated dining experience to match the food, wine and service of Bentley’s modern dining concept.
