Green is the new black

Queensland Design On Show awards, now entirely green in practice.

Presented by the Design Institute of Australia, Queensland Design On Show seeks to raise national and international awareness of Queensland design. Established in 2002, qdos has since progressed to become one of Australia’s most dynamic multidisciplinary awards, attracting a diverse range of entrants from Queensland’s design scene.

The awards categories include three-dimensional design, interior design, visual communication design and emerging student design.

Last year’s winners include, Coop Creative for Ingredients Deli in Retail Design and Fairweather Proberts Architects (in collaboration with UAP and Graphic Objects) for the National Police Memorial, in the category of Built Environment Collaboration.

This year’s submission process is focused on reducing the ecological footprint of the awards. Registration is only available online and submissions are required via a PowerPoint template, aimed to save both the entrants’ time and the environment.
Entries close 5 June 2009 with the winner announced 2 October 2009
