In 2022, Australian Design Review announced the inaugural ADR’s 30UNDER30, a program designed to recognise the talents of Australian interior and product designers. After a rigorous judging process, the final 30 have been unveiled.
The judging panel included Adam Goodrum, Kirsten Stanisich, Ara Salomone, Andrew Parr, Carolyn Solley, Sophia Leopardi, Peta Heffernan and Dr Jess Murphy. Narrowing down the competition was a challenge for the esteemed judges, as the quality of work from the under-30 cohort was of a remarkable standard, as well as the young designers showcasing an unbridled passion and enthusiasm for their industry.

Through the major sponsor Neolith’s Instagram account, the final 30 were announced on Friday 10 February 2023. Representing some of the top firms around Australia, together with entrepreneurs who have started their own businesses, the final 30 cover all reaches of Australia.
Each of those carefully selected by the panel of judges will be able to create career-long connections at a wellness retreat hosted at Bali’s Potato Head, where the final 30 have been invited to join the cohort as well as the judges to learn more about the industry as well as an opportunity to talk about what’s important to them.
The final 30 will also be mentored by one of the judges, setting them up with opportunities to learn from some of Australia’s most revered interior and product designers.

This is the first iteration of Australian Design Review’s 30UNDER30. The architecture stream will launch later this year in August – stay tuned!
