Last chance for architects and students to enter the fifth annual Boral Design Award.
The deadline for entries to the fifth annual Boral Design Award is fast approaching, with designers, architects and students urged to enter this years competition before the *30 September* submission deadline.
The award promotes innovative and realistic residential design, challenging entrants to design a 125sqm family home and its landscape. This year, the brief asks teams to consider Australias changing housing needs and reduced land sizes, with submissions that are adaptable, sustainable and affordable.
Entrants are asked to specify Boral products including timber, bricks, pavers, decorative concrete, roof tiles, windows and bi-fold doors in their designs.
The winner will be awarded with a $20,000 cash prize, with the runner up receiving $10,000. In the student category, first prize is $4,000.
This years jury panel comprises Tone Wheeler from Environa Studio in Sydney, Paul Ower from Owen and Vokes in Brisbane, Nick Drougas from Metricon in Melbourne, Glenn Simpkin from Boral and chair Andrew Mackenzie, editor in chief of Architectural Review Australia.
