Australian Design Review

This project is essentially an infill to the existing active streetscape. Prior to the appointment of Jones Sonter, development consent had been granted for a different design; however the approval conditions arising from neighbourhood objections made the development unfeasible.

The new design resolved all of the issues and was approved with no objections. It was based on reducing excavation and basement parking, retaining the garden setting to the streetscape and orienting the open space to Norton Street with an overall lowering of the building envelope.
