A bold design for a basement bar in central Melbourne, from Di Mase Architects.
The aim of this project was to re-brand an existing bar/nightclub to attract a new clientele following problems with crowd control. Di Mase Architects worked with the client to create a new and vibrant atmosphere and to bring the architectural language into line with the host Art Deco building.
By capitalising on existing fixtures, we were able to meet tight commercial time and budget requirements while transforming the feel of the space. The finished project has three distinct zones: a quieter entry/cocktail lounge, a bold bar area and a partially screened dancefloor.
